It is a beautiful country indeed. I wish that they could reopen that old line. Very interesting and sad too. I never knew of the accident. The image is burned in my mind wow!Shawnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07588966940904419920noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2925277268651697833.post-91368176882168479922011-06-23T14:34:46.011-04:002011-06-23T14:34:46.011-04:00My father, age 95, said his father drove his team ...My father, age 95, said his father drove his team of horses from Burden Lake to just east of Nassau Lake to an area called Bencinderin(?)Gap, where using his team he helped 'scrape' out the RR bed and move dirt to fill in lower areas. The area was past East Schodack, just after the sharp right turn in the road heading toward Nassau. I would also be interested in seeing an old map showing the route of the Albany Southern.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2925277268651697833.post-17700408359072138012010-11-06T13:34:14.969-04:002010-11-06T13:34:14.969-04:00Would be interested in knowing if there is an old ...Would be interested in knowing if there is an old map showing the route of the Albany Southern and if it includes a stop called Kells Crossing (would have been between East Schodack and Nassau, just before Nassau Lake if heading east.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13048927785303755685noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2925277268651697833.post-27707616421119400092010-09-15T19:52:29.123-04:002010-09-15T19:52:29.123-04:00Wow, what a wonderful job you've done presenti...Wow, what a wonderful job you've done presenting the Albany Southern Railway and what remains!
